I love the sweep of this, it's inspirational. But I do have my doubts whether the regime would criticise these goals of Musk's if he were doing them while obedient to regime values. If he was just building cars the state can spy on and remotely control, and putting satellites into orbit to spy on us, they might just coopt his Mars aspirations to glorify the greatness of the regime.
Born as a consequence of European exploration, America has always been an aspirational nation inhabited by an aspirational people. From the western frontier to the New Frontier with its moon program, Americans have always looked to the future. Melville called it a nation of futurity.
But something terrible happened along the way. The aspirational vision has been strangled by guilt caused by our racial past, by the loss of a forever war in Vietnam, and the widespread availability of abortion, and the pill. The “death cult” was born and threatens to suffocate the spirit of the nation.

I've been calling The Left a Death Cult for years now, at least since first hearing El Rushbo describe abortion as their sacrament.
I've also considered Elon Musk to be a Randian hero since reading a biography about him around five years ago. While reading this piece, I couldn't help feeling that I was reading a real-life passage out of The Fountainhead and/or Atlas Shrugged.
Life imitating art, indeed ... as my favorite meme since the horrific & disastrous inflection point of 2020 has been a Venn diagram with several dystopian novels and films depicted -- all intersecting around a middle circle labeled "YOU ARE HERE."
The sentence would still be impactful without using the all encompassing “Karen”….unless the goal is to erase it historically as a name, make it a demeaning adjective, & put it in the dictionary with a definition.
